Dance single forever..

Okay..... so what do i write bout today...
Lemme go back to my kiddo days again.. Like when i was in the 3rd standard or so..
Our annual day was nearing... we were all set for a performance...
A dance performance.. couple dance..
I dont remember how many of us were there.. but 8 or so for sure.. n seeing the old pic i ve i recognize Ijaz, Sithara, Shiju, Rose.. and some others.. and of course me..
My partner was Preethy i remember...
We practised for days and days together.... Dont remember the song..
We cut classes.. we had zero hours.. breaks.. all and all..
it was always practice practice pratcice...
Our excitements helped us through all the hard work...
Oh.. did i mention i was playing a boy...
Well i had my hair cut short.. so it was easy to pass me off as a boy..
We got ready our clothes.. the girls all got custom made frocks.. in red and black..
The boys and those playing boys all had to get their costumes fixed.. blue or black jeans and red shirt or t-shirt.
All set..

The day came... super excitement.
We all gathered together... Head count...
Yes, yes, yes... hey wheres Preethy???
Shes missing..
Maybe shes late..
Lets get on with the preparations...
And the news comes.. Preethys gone to.. umm... i think Chennai...
But wherever... shes gone.. she had to go..
last minute decision or so..
Wow.. great.. Whom do you suppose i dance with now..?
What??? put me out..??? Oh no, Oh no...
Yes.. i m not being put out..then???
What?? I dance alone?? Without a pair???
By myself??? The couple dance???
But How..???

Well.. i managed it all so fine..
It was funny.. but it turned a hit...
All i had to do was hold out my hand and move them inside and out... and groove to the music..
and i was placed in the centre front... Oh Wowwwwww..
so i wouldnt look odd placed elsewhere.. It would look pre-planned if the centre dances alone and just moves..
Super cool....

Well that was the best couple dance i ever had... ever....
